Vehicle description
Hey there.
This beauty is a "71 chop-top 240z with a Ferrari Dino-like rear kit, matching rims, and shaved handles. I got her from an amazing Z restorer out of Tampa (it was his project car) from eBay 11/13. I"ve since added a few esthetics, but kept her mechanically as I got"er. She"s been a hellofa head-turner and fun ride, but I"m moving and need the cash.
She came with:
a bored-out to over 3L "86 280zx engine that"s been modernized to injection with a giant turbo, wastegate, radiator, tubing, and metal lines (the pic shows the quality of the build) engine has ~13,000 on it
tranny and rear axle are from the transplant as well (the 4th and 5th gears were rebuilt last year with a 12k mile warranty) untouched boost controller and rev limiter (to preserve the engine) a push-pin rag top; it is surprisingly water tight and never gave me issue while driving, albeit it"s not used often
I added: the custom weather-proof interior (to match the Ferrari theme) a bluetooth radio w/ mic boat-quality speakers a new fuel pump new clutch when the tranny was rebuilt
HID headlights a 2-way Viper alarm with proximity sensor
The bad:
she came with a deep gash in the paint of the trunk, as well as a dent and paint chip where it latches; it is still water tight though, no leaks she suffers from the typical slight rust issues of the Zs; not extensive, but whomever gets her should note this the driver seat needs the rails replaced (unsafe to drive until that is fixed) the add-on gauges in the center dash need refastening I have no qualms mentioning that I got her for $12k, put in another $8 in additions and maintenance, and I know I won"t get that back. The reserve is set low and, obviously, whomever the lucky winner is will have to arrange pickup.
Most payments will be accepted. Checks will require they are cleared before shipping.
Happy bidding!
