Vehicle description
This auction is for a very nice 1971 Datsun 240Z that was painted in 1980, the daughter didn"t like it so it was parked in the lower level of a house here in my town and sat for the past 38 years, never re-assembled, never driven never in the weather and in excellent condition for restoration. There is absolutely no rust on this car at all. There was no damage to the car. It is pretty much complete, missing the two tail lights, and the front right turn marker. Might be some minor interior parts missing but very few. The interior seats and panels are poor, the dash is cracked. This vehicle has 65,485 original miles. 6 Cylinder three carbs, sorry, I forgot to get photos of the motor, and will but it is clean and original. It has new ignition, wires, plugs, starter and a new fuel pump still in the box. The dude I got it from said he sprayed the carbs and the car did run. (This was recently) I don"t think there is anything mechanically wrong with this car other than it just needs to be finished and started. Tires are even still new, and we have the original factory stock wheels. These are iconic first generation Japanese sports cars that started the foreign car craze in America. They are very collectable and this one can be a great start to a nice show car. The paint is originally orange but slightly different from the present color. The pain was never buffed out on this car and there is a slight bit of roughness on the right side, fender and hood. a couple tiny dings on the rear end is all the body damage this one has. I have several other photos and can answer any questions and send more photos upon request. Serious collectors only, please don"t make ridiculous offers, I will ignore them. I do have the title. This car is listed in other venues so it could be taken off here at any time. . . . .
