1971 BMW 2002 "roller" - Vehicle has NO engine, NO transmission. Car is VERY solid in all the common rust areas: F&R Shock towers, Rocker panels, Floors, Spare tire well, Nose panel, Pedal box, etc. . It isn"t a perfect car, there is a little rust around the floor drains, a few bubbles starting on the drivers side quarter panel edge, and I"m sure a few other spots, but not bad at all. No headliner, No carpet, No seats NO exterior trim, NO bumpers. There is a rusty key in the car, but ignition doesn"t turn anyway. The car has what appears to be a "NEW" later model nose installed on it (74-76) as well as new fenders and possibly a quarter panel. Car was originally "Colorado" orange and repainted Porsche "Guards red". I had planned to restore this car, but I just have too many projects including another 2002 in primer on my back lift. . I don"t have the space to store it and I don"t have the heart to let it sit outside all winter. ASK QUESTIONS.
The car has an aftermarket sunroof and yes, it leaks. If the high bidder plans to restore the car, I would make a deal on a complete roof section off of one of my parts cars if he or she wants. The hood is JUNK. It is rusty and ONLY on the car to cover the engine bay from rain. The car has some extra parts included in the sale, but nothing to get too excited about. (Grills, some rubber parts, driveline, odds and ends. .) The wheels and tires are brand new and have ZERO miles on them. The steering shaft is missing the coupler to the steering box, so we rigged something up to steer it. It rolls fine, but has ZERO brakes, ZERO e-brake. Clean PA title.
