Up for auction is a very very nice 1971 AMC Javelin SST. This car is as original as they come. It has 61,000 original miles. I bought this from the 3rd owner who only drove it 1200 miles in the last 20 years. It has had one repaint of the original Plum Crazy Purple color, also 20 years ago. (Looks like it was painted yesterday.) Due to not being stored correctly over the years, I had the engine professionally rebuilt. The 360 block was bored .030, crank turned 10 10, heads completely rebuilt, replaced cam and lifters with stock parts. Car has 600 miles on rebuilt motor. Sometime through the years the 2 brl. carb has been changed out. However I have the original carb. and also the original AM radio. It currently has AM FM cassette player. Car has ps, pb, working AC, along with brand new tires (600 miles on new tires), new battery, new fuel pump. Car runs and drives amazing; you can drive this car anywhere. Interior is like new with white seats in a black interior. All gauges and lights work as they should; gas gauge is off a little but does work. This car has all original panels and has no bondo on it at all. With both the original carb. and AM radio installed, I believe this car to be 100% original.
