This 1970 VW bay window will be the envy of all your neighbors! This “party” bus has a completely custom one off interior by Port City Custom Upholstery here in Wilmington NC. The back wrap around seating has plenty of room and comfort for any occasion and has kicker sound system throughout the bus, with subwoofer and amp under the rear seating. The Led lighting is controlled with factory interior switch to turn on and off, but able to change colors and sequences through the remote control. The Headlights have LED bulbs that are amazingly bright for night time driving, and the LED Halo rings for showing off, are all controlled via Bluetooth with your phone. Thousands of different patterns and colors are easily controlled with a lighting app for android or apple phones. They can even dance to music or strobe/flash/stay solid color/fade or any sequence you could imagine! The radio has Bluetooth as well so able to play your favorite music and have all of the LED lighting to coordinate with whatever you’re playing. The graphics on the bus are all vinyl decals that can easil be removed if you don’t like, so don’t let them scare you! The wheels are hydrodipped into the very cool tie-dye colors you see. These wheels were not cheap by any means, and the real white wall tires cost a pretty penny as well! So if you do not like this look, let me know and I can swap them out for factory wheels and tires! (I would be happy to keep for another bus project down the road, Ha)! This engine has been given a complete overhaul within the past year and recently received a full tune-up. This bus will not break any land speed records, but has zero issues getting down the road or highway! You can see from my pictures, this bus presents very well, but does have a few body issues that are showing. The worst of the body issues are in the rear. The engine hatch door is rusting from the back side and causing the paint to bubble and crack (see detailed up close pictures). The rear bumper has scraped the body on both sides causing a few chips and scrapes on the body. There are a few rust bubbles randomly around the glass as well. Though there is some rust, this bus is surprisingly solid. Up under the bus is very solid as well. The gauges do not work currently but used to work, have not looked into this at all. The Drivers side mirror got bumped off in a parking lot, but a new one is ordered. This bus has been lowered quite a bit, and that makes for a stiff ride, and not much suspension travel when hitting large bumps in the road, but does have new shocks. If you know anything about these older VW busses, you are not buying them for practicality, comfort, or modern luxuries , you are buying style and nostalgia and This gorgeous machine has plenty of that!
