About this vehicle This 1970 Plymouth Cuda is a project vehicle. The owner has had it for 3 years. The vehicle needs work. Vehicle Details Up for sale is my 1970 Plymouth cuda. It’s a real factory u-code. 440 4 Spd Dana 60 super track pack. Clean title California car. This is a major project but an extremely rare car with only 334 made. Less 440 4 sod cudas were made than 440 6 pack 4spd cudas. Ok So here’s the story on the car. The original owner wrecked it back in the early 70’s and had it repaired. The front half was then replaced with a 72 donor body which was blue and you can see under the red the and the back half remained the original red 70 cuda. The doors are still the Originals. Not sure if both fenders or only passenger side was replaced after the first time it was wrecked. The original owner then sold the car to his friend after it had been repaired who also ended up wrecking it. At that point he bought it back and striped it and sold it as you see it to the gentlemen that I bought it from. He had it sitting for decades until I blight it a couple years ago. About a year ago I ended up putting it on and I was contacted by the original owner saying that it was his name on the old title and registrations and he was The original owner. I ended up making a deal with him to buy the numbers matching 18 spline 4 spd transmission , shifter, mirrors, back seat, complete Dash set up with gauges, and a pair of bucket seats from a different cuda. The car was only a few years old when it was stripped and the owner luckily put all the parts he had away that’s why you can see how clean and like new the rear seats are and the dash! They look like they came off the factory floor yesterday especially the dash/gauges with all the factory standings still on them clear as day. The original owner sadly sold the numbers matching engine roughly 10 years ago but told me it was put into a burnt orange 70 challenger with white interior and the license plates 1HRM440 hrm for “hot rod mopar” so we know the engine is out there somewhere. Sadly the dana 60 was also sold and the car currently has an 8 3/4 rear end. He also said he remembers removing the fender tag but has not been able to locate it. But He’s still lookin. He was able to make me a list of the options it came with and signed and dated it. See picture in the link with all the pictures. Passenger side fender has some damage and was only put on for picture not actually installed. I also bought the original front half to the car from him. It still has a couple parts the buyer may want. I can either remove them and put them in the car for transport or you can take that front half with you. Radiator support from that front half is missing and the cowl was never stamped from the factory. I included pictures showing no stamp there. Kind of odd. But you can see the weld marks on the cuda match the cut points on the wrecked front half and the wrecked front half is also red, has 4spd tunnel, has front torque boxes and the skid plate on the k-member so you know it’s original to the car. The old 70’s titles and registrations I have match the door vin and the vin on the dash! Also the original blue CA license plate on the car matches the paperwork. And the 18 spline 4 spd transmission matches the vin also. And I have the original owners contact info still. That should be sufficient information to back up that this is in fact a real deal u-code 4spd cuda And with the hand signed paper where the original owner listed the options it came with that should be enough to get a reproduction tag made. This car was highly optioned. 70 cuda, rallye red paint, black interior, super track pack, 440 u code, 4 spd, Dana 60 with 4:10 gears, road lamps, 8 trak radio, 3 speaker dash, rubber bumper, bucket seats, dual mirrors painted with one being remote racing mirror, power disc brakes, manual steering, 14 inch rallye wheels, heater, 26 inch radiator, rallye gauges, dual exchaust with tips, hood pins, lockout column, wood grain steering wheel, pinstripe grip shifter, hockey stripe, cuda dual scoop hood, wheel moldings, drip rail moldings, bumper guards, CA emissions, heavy duty suspension.
