The owner was 23 years old when he drove home in the Olds. Driving it thru College at USC, taking his girlfriend on a date that turned out to be his wife now. He grew old with his W Machine. A young man going to the track on the weekends to be retired at 75 years young that stilled would drive it occasionally before selling it to me recently. Awesome history of a one registered owner 1970 Documented W-31. Not just another "Barn Find" story but documentation to back it up. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

Southern California Car - Delivered New In Los Angeles, spending its entire life in the same area with its original Blue & Yellow plates. The plates match the paperwork since 1970.
Beautiful California Solid Underneath - Frame Structure - Floor Pans - Trunk Pan Original flooring - no hack jobs. Solid Roof line . Please keep in mind, its a Los ANgeles Car that has never seen harsh weather and also was stores away for 15+ years.
Remains most of the original paint but has been spot painted or touched up over the years. Owner mentioning driver side fender was replaced from his wife backing into from driveway. Driver side rear lower panel had a tire blow out 30+ years ago, I have the record still. It was fixed and primed (under $200). The interior is original with the exception of the radio being replaced with a Sears system. He still has the 8trac with tapes in the trunk! Owner mentioning the seats had been sewn patched in 1987 by his wife. Interior is original and shows it for being unrestored. Headliner is sagging, plastic armrest is brittle, just 51 years old wear. Still has the original Olds floor mats too.
This was his daily driver for many years. It has 243K actual miles - it was driven with wear & tear. The trim & chrome shows it has never been restored.
The owner purchased a shipping container in the 90"s and had it stored on his other property . The Olds sat for 15+ years till 2012 where it was removed to be brought back to driving condition.
Below is a email exchange from the original owner to his insurance company in 2012

Overall, its a Rare olds which doesnt come around often.
A original owner, fully documented W-31 with most of its original paint.
Either drive it the way it is or do a complete frame off restoration. Most of what I seen is when a W-31 comes along, its been restored already or its a fully rusty project. Understand its not p erfect in any way - its a old beat up Muscle car that has never been restored. It Needs total restoration, dont think its a trailer queen.
