Vehicle Details Ford f100 - 1970 ford f100 sport custom for sale with rare “Explorer Green” Explorer Special package. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Check out the 360 v8 engine cold start video here: https:/ youtu.be/2vYfQV0v5sc _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ - This Ford f100 for sale was purchased from the original owner’s wife and has been very well taken care of its whole life. This 1970 Ford f100 is a fine example of a rock solid original, offering a whole lot of value for the fair price. This ford F100 comes in the top of the line Explorer Special package (Premium Package D: which includes packages A,B and C as well) and is in the rare Explorer Green color and interior trim only offered within the Ford Explorer Special package. This Ford f100 is equipped with an automatic 360 v8, has 97k original miles, factory AC, Power Steering, Power Brakes, original Premium interior in excellent original shape, polished and waxed exterior in very solid condition with the original paint of good caliber. The finest attribute of this f100 is that it would make an affordable daily cruiser that already drives like a peach and turns heads everywhere it goes; Or, it would be a superior start and well worth the money to take this affordable truck to the next level and really command attention and dollars! _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ - This 1970 Ford f100 is the nicest riding and cruising truck I’ve ever driven and I’ve had old trucks ever since I was 16. A few months ago, I had this Ford F100 all tuned up and put some other work into it to make it a real nice, reliable driver. I had the rear brakes adjusted, new wheel bearings, new front and rear shocks, new fuel filter, new transmission filter, had the carburetor adjusted, changed out engine oil and transmission fluid, new oil filter and new air filter among a few other things for a total of almost $800.00 ( I have the receipt). There is a crack in the windshield on the driver’s side. The only rust on this f100 that would require body work are the small sections located on the lower front fender panels near the bottom of the front of the doors. There is a dent on the lower drivers door that will require some body work to straighten out, but, it doesn’t really stick out and looks fine in my opinion. There is a dime size hole in the chrome near the bottom of the driver’s headlight from the same incident as the door dent. When my mechanic I use (40 plus years as a mechanic and shop owner) changed the transmission fluid he noticed there is a weld repair on the transmission housing (I didn’t know about this when I bought it and it wasn’t told to me. I never noticed it before because the tranny didn’t leak much oil at all). The weld isn’t making the tranny leak or preventing anything from leaking, its just a repair on the housing. The tranny as it sits right now leaks some oil, but, still drives great and you just have to keep an eye on it. I’ve only had to top off the tranny fluid one time since I had it changed. Another easily fixable problem is the previous owner put on an f100 bumper not made to have chrome trim near the rear end. The bumper that’s on it right now is currently pinching those two small chrome trim pieces. It hasn’t affected the body underneath the chrome trim, but, those small chrome trim panels will need to be replaced and the right bumper put on. The bearings in the AC compressor went bad and this was found when I had it worked on. I have a brand new Four Seasons AC compressor still in the box that will come with the purchase. None of this stuff was a big deal to me because I planned on taking it to the next level anyways and these are small, very reasonable problems in my eyes. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ - My plan was to bore the current 360 and stroke it out to a 390 and do more of a performance build around 400hp. This would be a great engine block for that project because this 360 is in great shape and has relatively lower original miles. I was going to put a new C6 tranny in it and change the gears in the rear end for a better driving experience and to better handle the power. I was also going to have the light body work done and repaint it in its original color to have a real show stopper that was worth some serious money. As you can see, I haven’t gotten to that…lol. I’ve just got too much on my plate and too many projects and I need to thin the herd as much as I really don’t care to (I’m also engaged and am getting married soon - another reason for the sale……… I know, I know, I’m sure my fellow truck guys are shaking their heads as we speak….lol). _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ - These f100s are very popular right now and are fetching big money for the nice ones. This truck will surely only go up in value given its quality original condition. With some work this truck would make a smart person some real nice money. NADA has the following values on this 1970 Ford f100 1/2 ton styleside with the options added of 360 v8 and factory air conditioning:High Retail: $43,445.00 Average Retail: $23,660.00LOW Retail: $16,420.00 I’m asking a reasonable 15900. That’s asking more than $500.00 less than the lowest low retail value. This Ford f100 is in much better shape than that! Also, these values don’t take into consideration the Explorer Special package! With that aside, I’m taking into consideration the repairs and have tried to be generous in giving a fair amount for them. I would like to see it go to someone who is really going to appreciate it, enjoy it and have fun with it. I’m a firm believer in what comes around goes around so hopefully I can give someone a good deal on a great truck and I can get a good deal on a great truck in the future when I inevitably buy another f100. lol. Clean Kansas title. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, I’m here to help. Thanks and have a great day! _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ - Check out the 360 v8 engine cold start video here: https:/ youtu.be/2vYfQV0v5sc Images Download the Motors app
