Vehicle description

1970 Ford F-100
Nicely restored 1970 Ford f-100
Original Factory owners manual/service card
Beautiful black paint
No rust ANYWHERE
302 with 4 barrel Holley, tube headers, Weiand intake, super coil, Ford performance air cleaner, chrome molding under the hood, chrome hood latch, detailed radiator support with the same shine as the exterior. Inner fenders painted too. Starts on a bump of the key. Sounds great, runs on 87 octane mild manners capable of daily drive ability but still capable of leaving some rubber behind if you don’t watch out! Clutch feels brand bew, nice and stiff, not even broken in. It may be a performance clutch by the way it feels under foot.
Not sure if it’s the original engine but it seems to be in perfect condition inside and out. Chrome dress up kit and Ford Motorsports valve covers
Factory non AC, manual steering, power brakes.
Old school and CLEAN under the hood, no un necessary accessories to spoil the view! Shows nicely
Ford racing GT mags
Updated radio, looks like an old one but is actually a stealthy modern digital version
Interior trim and dash in PERFECT CONDITION. All trim in remarkably good shape with only a handful of small imperfections on the exterior and none on the interior. Doors painted inside as nice as outside
RARE BORG-WARNER OVERDRIVE
20 year old frame off restoration with only a few thousand miles since rebuild. Unknown original mileage, nice local show car cruiser but not a concours show truck.
LOOKS GREAT UNDERNEATH TOO! Painted frame, dual exhaust
DRIVES LIKE A NEW TRUCK! Not so much as a rattle over railroad tracks and bumps.
Restoration included frame off treatment, minimal bodywork, all new seals, brakes, reconditioned main trim, suspension, everything is NEW.
I drove it back 150 miles and got about 15 miles per gallon at 65 mph! Daily driver potential. Heat works fine.
Door jams done correctly, prep work seems to have been done right to survive 20 years with only a handful of imperfections, chips, scratches anywhere on the truck.
Interior is as nicely done as the exterior. Overall condition of the trim is EXCELLENT!
Doors shut with one finger ease, the handles are tight. Same with the hood too. This was essentially a brand new truck when completed with very few miles since.
*drivers side floor pan has been replaced with a sheet of metal sealed into place. Could be replaced with a restoration floor pan or left as is. Well sealed, just not a replacement part.
*The headliner has two wear marks.
That’s about it for stand out imperfections. Maybe a dozen small chips on the whole truck, mostly on the bed with hardly an imperfection to find on the cab, fenders, hood, roof. . I was going to have it detailed but water beads nicely on the paint and it has no need for it, just a good wash and shammy, a bit of chrome polish and it will look like it does in the pics for years to come.
Solid driver/investment you can enjoy as it appreciates
No surprises, very light bodywork on the bed only visible at certain angles in the light. Couldn’t really get pics of it, very little to be pictured but I can see just a light skim on the bed was applied before it was repainted. For a serious professional detailed it may be possible to wet sand and bring out a glass smooth finish but it looks great as is. It is not perfect but very nice truck all around.
We have priced this conservatively STARTING AT NADA AVERAGE CONDITION RETAIL. This truck is obviously much nicer than average condition.
If you’ve been holding out for a solid truck this is a great candidate. Bid with confidence and happy holidays!

Borg Warner overdrive info: The Borg Warner Overdrive Transmission began its life in the 1930s and was last used anywhere in the automotive industry in Ford trucks in 1972. Overdrive was last used in Ford passenger cars in 1967. This article is to explain this unique transmission and its features to Ford truck owners & enthusiasts in the hopes that they will have a better understanding of how fortunate they are to have acquired one and better understand how to operate, repair, and enjoy it. Popularity of the B-W OD lessened over its long production life, especially after availability of fully automatic transmissions, but it still remains the most versatile transmission ever put into a vehicle. However, to maximize its full operating potential, the driver must understand what it does and how it works. Unfortunately the chances of a 21st-century truck buyer who might be lucky enough to come across an overdrive-equipped Ford truck appreciating how lucky a find they have diminishes every year. It then becomes ever more likely that the marvelous overdrive set up would be removed and the truck converted to another transmission type. .a sad loss indeed. There are many ways to “overdrive” a vehicle. To overdrive something is to gear it in such a manner that more revolutions come out of a gear set (the transmission) than went into it. Overdriving a running gear (motor, transmission & axle combination) lowers the revolutions that the engine spins at any set speed, but overdriving also exchanges this lower engine speed for less of a mechanical advantage - less able to pull away from a stop, the less able to pull a load, the less able to pull a hill. In the simplest terms, overdrive acts like a super-high gear that is intended to be used only at freeway speeds to lower the engine revolutions, lower engine wear and lower both engine oil and fuel consumption. Overdriving a vehicle can be done in many ways, such as adding an additional entire transmission (like a Brownie auxiliary transmission) or adding an additional ‘gear’ to the existing transmission (like modern five-speed transmissions, where 5th gear is overdrive). An overdrive ratio can also be created with a planetary gear set. (This is how a Borg-Warner OD transmission accomplishes an overdrive ratio).
