Vehicle description
Up for auction is my amazing 1969 GT6+ in very original condition. I purchased this car from it"s long-time owner in Napa Valley, California 7 years ago. This car has been babied it"s entire life and is extremely solid. Zero rust. You are looking at the ORIGINAL paint (with a small few touchups in heritage matched paint). I took the car through a cosmetic restoration upon my purchase (new carpet and sound-deadening, replaced any perishables, glass-out replacement of all weatherstripping, etc). I also replaced the rotoflex donuts and did a full once-over mechanically - of which not much was needed. Lots of cleaning and polishing. Because the car was in great original condition I took every effort to reuse rather than replace. For example, the door panel cards were a little warped but the vinyl was good, so I carefully removed the vinyl and mounted it to new cards (the replacement door panels available from the vendors just don"t match the original design - so it was worth the extra effort). New dash also with a perfect fit. Original battery tray was welded in and painted to match. Chrome is very good throughout. Original hubcaps, radio and rare speaker box all installed. Underside of car is very clean. No accidents ever. Glass is excellent. Motor (original) is spotless. Does not leak oil or anything else!
The few issues are easily remedied: Speaker not working (it works but I must have wired it incorrectly on re-installation). Speedometer is jumpy. A few very small dings - but no exposed metal or rust or other problems. Any could likely be repaired by a paintless dent puller company if you desired.
I doubt there is a more original GT6 in anywhere near this condition. I"ve certainly not come across one. Very popular at the couple of car shows I entered.
I hate to sell but I have moved and am losing storage options. This car deserves to be enjoyed.
