Vehicle Details 1969 Ford Ranchero GT being sold at "No Reserve" This was your father's truck if he was the cool dad in the neighborhood! Opportunities like this don't come around very often. The Ford Ranchero is a coupe utility that was produced by Ford between 1957 and 1979. Unlike a standard pickup truck, the Ranchero was adapted from a two-door station wagon platform that integrated the cab and cargo bed into the body. A total of 508,355 units were produced during the model's production run.Over its lifespan it was variously derived from full-sized, compact, and intermediate automobiles sold by Ford for the North American market. In 1968, the Fairlane line was supplemented by the new Torino, and the Ranchero followed suit, becoming the largest model since the full-sized 1959. Overall, the new Ranchero was not only bigger, but also more angular than before with its more horizontal grille and horizontal headlamps; Ford and other automakers were making a switch back to horizontal quad headlamps. The interior was all new, as well, sharing the Torino/Fairlane's distinctive four-pod instrument cluster. Though the four round pods gave the illusion of an engine-turned dash, viewed from left to right, they instead featured warning lights for coolant temperature (both cold and hot) and the left turn signal indicator in the left pod with the speedometer in the second pod directly in front of the driver. Warning lights for the charging system and oil pressure, as well as the right turn signal indicator, were located third from the left. In upscale models, this pod was supplanted by a tachometer. An optional clock filled the fourth pod; a decorative "clock delete" panel otherwise filled the space. A seat belt warning light was a new feature, too, lighting briefly in the far left pod whenever the engine was started. The model line also featured wraparound front side marker lamps which doubled as parking lights and rear side reflectors, newly mandated by US law for the 1968 model year. This is My car Titled in my name. I have driven about 3,000 miles this year with no issues. It runs and drives GREAT! In my opinion. This vehicle was well taken care of, and in very nice condition for its age. It was originally in Kansas then Texas. It is a very solid, clean car. You would have no problems getting attention driving this beauty! This car has a High Gloss gorgeous paint job, and shines! It looks like it has been done for a few years so if there was anything hiding under the paint it would have popped through by now. The custom red hood and tonneau cover really pop against the bright white. The engine starts up immediately, and the throttle is very responsive from this 351 V8 with Holly carb, and True Dual Exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. The engine is very clean inside, runs nice and smooth, and does not have any signs of oil leaks. It has had some upgrades. New alternator and regulator, new fuel pump, and super stack high output ignition coil. New electronic distributor. This vehicle has a C4 Automatic transmission that has always engaged immediately in Forward and reverse. When I bought it I was told that the transmission was upgraded with a shift kit.The transmission shifts nice and firm through all gears. The rear end was rebuilt by the previous owner with new bearings and seals. It is a 3.00 to 1 gear ratio, along with new U joints. I do not hear any whining coming from the rear end and appears to function as it should. The interior is black and looks like that is how it came from the factory. Interior was mostly replaced with new carpet, new seat cover, and door panels. The interior does show some minor wear and tear but is mainly in beautiful condition! All the door handles inside and out function as they should, the doors open and close nice and tight. All the windows roll up and down nicely. The mileage is believed to be accurate. but, is undocumented and currently reads 71,448. The gas gauge works and seems to be accurate, Oil pressure gauge moves like it should and has an amp gauge. The temp gauge works too. The blower motor turns on and works through the speeds, and has good heat. The a/c has been retrofitted to R134A and blows ice cold with the flip of a switch. The turn signals and high beam light up on the dash and hood like they should. The wipers work on both low and high speeds and park like they should. Horn not working. It has a brand new Resto Sound radio with Aux Port with 6x9’s Speakers. Headlights are daymaker LEDs both high and low that turn on and light up the night. The stock headlights are so dim and very hard to see. LED headlights make a world of difference and I would not drive at night without them after seeing how bright they actually are. Turn signals and indicators turn on and flash like they should. Running lights and brake lights also work flawlessly! New brakes and hardware all the way around with new rear wheel cylinders and drums. Brand new Brake lines running to the rear brakes with a new center brake hose, and new brake lines running from master Cylinder to both front wheels also with new hoses. It has had a new power steering pump and hose installed along with new belts, and you can steer this car effortlessly with 1 finger. The car drives nice and straight down the road, and is very easy to maneuver. It’s had new shocks all the way around. New front spring, upper ball joints, and bushings. It has a set of highly desirable GT chrome rims, and matched up with Cooper tires that everyone loves! This is a great street machine you can drive all day long! The Nada Classic Car Price Guide currently has a 1969 Ford Ranchero at $37,900 in high condition, which they consider an excellent overall vehicle that was completely restored, or an original vehicle showing very minimal wear. Note: This value does not represent a 100 point show car or a #1 vehicle. Those vehicles can reach much higher prices. They have the average condition listed at $22,500, which they consider in good overall condition that could be an older restoration or a well maintained original vehicle that is completely operable. The exterior paint, trim, and mechanics are presentable and serviceable inside and out. They say an average condition car is considered a 20-Footer! They have the lowest condition valued at $12,850 being considered a deteriorated restoration or a very poor restoration, but mostly usable "As-Is!" The lowest value does not represent a parts car, but would be considered as the price for a car needing a complete restoration.
