Vehicle description
1968 Toyota FJ40 project for sale. Non-running, original straight-six engine missing some parts (as pictured), original manual transmission. Roller for easy shipping.
Tan paint, uncut rear quarters, hardtop. PTO winch (factory or dealer-installed). Has drop down A-frame tow bar for towing the vehicle, too. Has some rust, but not a rust bucket. Will need a driver"s front floor pan, small passenger floor repair, and various other small repairs. As these are very popular and have been around for decades, repair panels are readily available. I have included pictures of the bad areas. The fiberglass roof panel has a crack as well, also pictured. We do NOT have frame rust issues here. . we do NOT salt our roads, never have.
Interior also original, including driver and passenger front seats, and left/right flip up rear jump seats.
Non-running original engine missing some intake and exhaust parts (pictured). Running gear should all be gone through, or upgraded at your option.
Clear WA title in hand. I purchased this for my restoration shop, but am too busy in the near future to restore it for myself . This is a great restoration candidate, and as you probably know, early FJ"s are very valuable, finished.
I would consider restoring it for a prospective buyer, if your budget allows it.
International buyers welcome if you can meet my payment expectations within 3 days.
Call Tim at with any questions prior to purchase.
