1968 Mercedes Benz 280 SE & Parts From a 1969 280 SE Coupe Here is the story. Purchased the gray car in running condition. After review, it was determined the Chicago winters has taken its toll and the frame was to damaged to restore. I then purchased the white car from Oklahoma. The gray car was completely stripped and all the good parts was saved. It"s time to let this go to somebody finish this project. All the parts are there plus many more! White Car: Very little rust The doors and front fenders have been replaced The seats are in very good condition. There are a couple of pulled stitches in the driver"s seat. Unfortunately the car showed up on the transport without the title. I was told it would be in glove box. I have the bill of sale. New floor pan included Gray Car: I have the title and bill of sale for this car. (All identification plates have been saved) The engine has been reworked with many new parts. The timing chain still needs to be replaced (included) Doors, deck lid, hood, grill, roof (with sunroof), bumpers, glass and exhaust, chrome trim, woodwork, beige trim panels, suspension, steering, rims / tires, brakes, rubber, factory under dash AC, factory 4 speed gear box and clutch assembly and electrical wiring. I"m sure I"m missing a few things. Many of the engine parts that will be reused have been cleaned and painted as needed. From what I was told. The original owner of this was car wanted AC and a manual 4 speed. For whatever reason he was told the car could not be shipped to the states with these option. When the car arrived in New York, he hired a dealer to remove the automatic and install the air conditioning. I would assume these options are very rare.
