1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Convertible Vehicle Information VIN: 338677M361113 Stock: 210300332C Mileage: 90,159 Color: Midnight Blue Trans: Jetaway two-speed automatic Engine: 330 CID Jetfire Rocket V-8 Title: Clear Interior: Black Video Description 1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Convertible
• Very nice and clean example of the second generation Cutlass Convertible with factory air • Same owner for the past 19 years • Final model year of the second-generation Cutlass • One of only 10,897 Cutlass Supreme convertibles made in 1967 • Original 330 CID Jetfire Rocket V-8 engine with four-barrel carburetor • Jetaway two-speed automatic transmission • Midnight Blue exterior with black, vinyl power-folding top and black vinyl interior (code 980-C) • Factory Air-conditioning (code 2E), power steering, power brakes, power windows (code X) and an AM/FM radio
This mid-size, mid-priced American car was the seed for what became Oldsmobile’s most popular model and within a decade, it was the highest-selling model in its class. However, if you like things more topless, this 1967 droptop Cutlass at MotoeXotica Classic Cars might be just your speed.
This car was made in Oldsmobile’s Lansing, Michigan (VIN code M) factory during the fifth week of May 1967.
Finished in Midnight Blue, the car’s paint and trim are in overall very good order, the bodywork is straight and solid and the engine bay is in correct condition. The black canvas, power-folding top is in very good order. The car’s chrome bumpers fit tightly to the body and look good.
This car rolls on Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires, size 235/60R14 at all four corners and each tire is mounted on a factory alloy wheel. The tires and wheels are all in good, original order.
Under the hood is the original 330 CID Jetfire Rocket V-8 engine with a four-barrel carburetor. The four-barrel versions had a larger diameter harmonic damper; the two-barrel only has a balancer hub without the rubberized outer ring. Backing this motor is a Jetaway two-speed automatic transmission with a Variable Vane torque convertor stator. Driver convenience features include air-conditioning (code 2E), power steering, power brakes and power windows (code X).
Inside, the car has a black vinyl interior (code 980-C). The Supreme featured a plusher interior that included a bench seat with armrest, full wheel covers and deluxe door panels among other items including "CS" emblems on the rear C-pillars and trunk lid. The black bench seats are in very good order while the three-spoke steering wheel is in good shape. The inner door panels and dashboard are in similar condition to the steering wheel. A console-mounted shift lever and an AM/FM radio complete the interior.
Changes for 1967 included the availability of optional disc brakes and the three-speed Turbo-Hydramatic to supplement the two-speed Jetaway. The Cutlass Supreme line was expanded into a full series that also included a two-door hardtop coupe (Holiday Coupe), two-door pillared coupe (Sport Coupe), four-door pillared sedan (Town Sedan) and a convertible. Generally, interior appointments in Supreme models were more luxurious than lesser F-85 and Cutlass series cars and included a cloth or vinyl bench seat with armrest in sedan models and all-vinyl Strato bucket seats in coupes and convertibles.
Convertible competition to this Cutlass Supreme droptop in 1967 included Buick’s Skylark GS 400, Dodge’s Coronet, Mercury’s Monterey and Pontiac’s Tempest.
This Cutlass Supreme is a prime example of GM’s mid-1960s styling prowess and its market ascendancy. If you’re looking for a beautiful droptop that makes for a great cruiser, stop by MotoeXotica Classic Cars today and check it out for yourself.
