1967 JEEPSTER with a real description that"s not sugar coated! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
HOW IS THE BODY AS FAR AS RUST? I consider this a very good body, the best I can tell all the panels are original, floors too. I put 12 pictures of the underside on this listing.
HEAD LIGHTS WORK! TAIL LIGHTS WORK! TURN SIGNALS WORK! TURN SIGNAL INDICATORS IN CLUSTER NOT WORKING! EMERGENCY FLASHERS WORK! BRAKE LIGHTS WORK! HORN NOT WORKING! RADIO WORKS! SPEEDOMETER WORKS! WINDSHIELD WIPER NEEDs A MOTOR! GAUGES IN POD UNDER DASH AND WORK! GAS GAUGE NOT WORKING! HEATER BLOWER WORKS! CONTROL CABLES STUCK, I HAVE BEEN SOAKING WITH PENITRANT!
COULD USE CORRECT RADIO ANTENA AND NEW TAIL LIGHT LENSE!
HOW IS THE PAINT! Nice upper end driver quality paint job. I see no rust bubbles, no dents or dings. I do see some specs and a couple of touched up chips.
HOW IS THE INTERIOR? Seats and carpet look new. Needs headliner, past owner put thin wood up to glue or tach it too.
HOW IS THE GLASS? I think all the glass was replaced when the Jeepster was painted. Looks like the glass rubber and door rubber was replaced at that time, does need window whiskers .
HOW IS THE ENGINE? Its a V6, I think its a 225 cubic inch. It has a Rochester 2 barrel carburetor with a manual choke. It runs good and I see no blue smoke.
HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? Its automatic, main case looks like the MOPAR Torque 727, no slip that I feel.
DOES THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE WOKR? Past owner said it did, but I don"t have a clue if it does or not.
HOW DOES THE CAR STOP? It has a after market, dual master cylinder and a dual power booster. it stops fine for drums on all four, modern brakes are a lot better.
HOW DOES THE JEEPSTER DRIVE? To me it does not drive good, for a old Jeep, I don"t think we can say they ever drove good.
HOW ARE THE TIRES AND WHEELS? They are OK, but I like smaller tires and original wheels better, just my taste.
WHERE IS THE JEEPSTER LOCATED? Athens, Tennessee 37303.
