Vehicle description
This is a great driving "big" Healey that needs some love and attention in the form of cosmetics. I believe that the car has 53,000 miles on it mainly because the dash has never been apart and the engine is original to the car and never removed. British Motor Heritage Factory record is included. The car is a great driver with all mechanicals operative, OD, lights, wipers and such. The car has had the rockers replaced along with some frame repairs. It has a new exhaust, front shocks and fuel pump. The car is straight and the door gaps even. There is one hidden rust area that has not been addressed and that is the driver side rear seat bucket, which is an easy fix. All of the body rust appears to be surface rust in areas nto properly painted, around boot hinges front hood scoop. The top is in great condition and the interior does not have any cracks or tears. The dash pad has been replaced and a Moto Lita steering wheel has been added.
The paint is in poor condition and there are many chips and a few minor dings. I have taken many photos in an effort to be as honest as possible. this car is ready to drive for the summer and ready for a complete redo the following winter. As you can tell from the photos there is great potential hiding under a poor paint job. certainly a job that could be handled by an amateur restorer.
The motor pulls hard in all gears and despite it being a British car has minimal leakage. chrome wire wheels and new tires. The chrome is in good condition although some could use some work. after all it is original.
