Vehicle description
Up for auction is a 1967 Austin Healey 3000 BJ8. This vehicle is in need of a complete restoration and not in running condition. I have inspected the vehicle and will describe it as best I can, but please look at the photos and email me any specific questions or areas of the car you would like me to photograph. Ebay has a limit on photos, so I included what I thought was best, but can provide you any specific photos you need, just email me. The car has a very rusty frame (chassis), floors and both inner and outer sill assemblies. The frame is rotted thru in a number of areas. There are some solid areas of the chassis, but it may be easier to replace the entire chassis than to replace sections of it. I"m including a brand new complete chassis in this auction and the owner can decide what is best, but the entire chassis, main floors along with both inner and outer sill assemblies will be included in the auction. In addition, there will be new rear leaf springs and new front coil springs included in the auction as well. I have included the British Heritage Certificate with this auction, which indicates the cars specifications as it left the factory in England. Upon inspection I have determined that all the numbers indicated on the Heritage Certificate match the car, so this is a factory correct 1967 Austin Healey 3000 BJ8. The engine block that is in the car is not original to the car, however the original engine block will be included in the auction and is currently sitting alongside the car. So, you will be getting two engine blocks in this auction. Both, the engine in the car and the original engine block appear to be stuck and cannot be rotated. The convertible top frame assembly is in tact and on the vehicle and goes up and down although a bit stiff. There is nothing really left of the convertible top canvas, but as stated the top frame assembly is in tact and functions. The gearshift lever feels very stiff and although it does move a bit, it would appear the gearbox will need some attention. The car is complete with the exception of the following items I have noted below: *Passenger seat cushion (missing) *Driver side rear quarter interior panel (missing) *Gas Cap (missing) *Tool Kit and Jack (missing) Any other items that are missing would be minor. If you have anything specific you would like me to check, please just email me. A non refundable $500 deposit is required via paypal within 24 hours of winning the auction. See other details. Buyer is responsible for shipping and arrangement of vehicle pickup. Please keep in mind that the chassis and extra engine block will require additional shipping costs and arrangements. I will help in any way possible. I will sell worldwide, however you must make all arrangements to get the vehicle and items in the auction picked up. Thanks for looking! Anthony
