About this vehicle This 1966 Chevrolet Corvair is an original. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle is drivable and is mainly used for weekend drives. Thanks for looking Vehicle Details Here’s a 1966 Corvair Monza 140 HP 4 spd. Let us start off by saying this car is no way perfect. This Corvair is fun to drive around town but needs a complete going through to make it a dependable driver . I have owned the car for almost a year. Have maybe put 100 miles on it in that time . I’m not a mechanic so I will answer any questions you have to the best of knowledge. I planned on fixing this Corvair up and making it a daily driver but I’m selling now to move on to another project. This Corvair in my opinion is a great start , you could restore back to its former glory or put a few bucks In it and drive it . I have included many pics of problematic ares I have found on the car so please pay close attention to the pics. The paint looks good in pics but is poor shape , lots of chips , touch ups , scratches and over spray . The old school patch riveted body work is also noticeable. (Pics included) . There’s a good bit of patching in rear lowers and front lowers . And I’ve added pics of floor patching under front carpet. I have no idea how much work has been done only what I can see . The car runs decent (better when it’s cold out) and shifts good. I’d say it needs fresh suspension and shocks to make it ride better … although it doesn’t ride bad now . Also have new shocks that go with car. Also notice the pics of rear shock mounts , I found old patching around them and will need attention but seems solid still.
