This is Ruby, a 1965 Volvo Amazon 122s. She was pulled out ofa field and rescued from the crusher in 2010 after a long nap. (Previouslyregistered in 1993.) Intended to be a father-son project, we went througheverything and had her running and driving. Alas, my Son grew up, found newinterests, and has moved on to make his mark on the world. So now poor Ruby findsherself casing a shady spot in my driveway. As job she’s held for 5 years. She will run and drive, but needs work. I purchased a newgas tank about 8 years ago, but it now needs to be cleaned out. The carbs alsoneed to be cleaned and a rebuild kit is included. I recently replaced the fuelpump and starter. Also, I replaced the driver door with a damaged but more serviceableone. The headlights work, I just had to remove the driver wing to get to thehinges. The worst rust is two holes indriver floor and spare tire well (replacement included). The rest is surfaceand small patch spots. There are a few dents and dings, and the paint is inrough shape. I never got to the interior other than replacing the seat webbing.The original B18 engine is included as well as an overdrive (correct transwould need to be sourced.) I will never recoupwhat I have in her, but wouldn’t trade the time spent with my Son for anything.Reserve is reasonably set. (Please note: mileage unknown due to engine swap.)
