Vehicle description
This 1964 Volvo 122S has been refinished in off-white over red upholstery and is powered by a 1.8-liter inline-four which was fitted with new bearings in the 1990s and has since been modified with a FiTEch fuel injection system. Shifting is through a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive sourced from an 1800E, while further updates installed during the seller’s ownership include a Vintage Air HVAC system, 17″ wheels, an aftermarket stereo, a three-spoke steering wheel, and more. A new fuel tank was fitted within the past 500 miles, as were replacement shock absorbers. This P120 is offered with partial service records and a Texas title in the seller’s name. The included owner’s manual indicates that the car was finished in Pearl White (79) when new, and it has since received a driver-quality repaint. The front end features an early-style grille as well as a bumper bar, while the bumper overriders have been removed. The seats were reupholstered in red with the door panels, rear parcel shelf, and sun visors refurbished to match. Additions include an under-dash heater and air conditioning system from Vintage Air as well as an updated stereo. The five-place odometer shows 83k miles, of which the seller has added approximately 3k. Total mileage is unknown. The 1.8-liter B18 inline-four was overhauled in the 1990s with a .030″ overbore as well as new main, connecting rod, and camshaft bearings. More recent updates include electronic ignition and a FiTech fuel injection system, which can be controlled via a remote in the cabin. A four-speed M41 manual transmission with overdrive was sourced from a 1971 1800E and installed with a rebuilt and shortened driveshaft
