Vehicle description
Ok, let me start by stating when I purchased this car it had a 351w with a automatic transmission. This is an A code 4 speed car with a few tell tell signs it might have been a factory hipo car. As far as I know there was no K code comets in 1965, all hipo cars where A codes. The things that make me think it could have been a hipo car is 1. the steering box and column has been changed to a tube shift 3 speed column, hipo cars had a quicker ratio box and this being a 4 speed car would not have a tube shift column. 2. It is a 3:50 trac loc car, I would say is odd for standard 289 4v car 3. You can clearly see where the rally pack was mounted on the dash, Anyways This car has a real straight body. Has two dents in left front fender wich will straighten out pretty easy, doesnt look like much, previous owner got carried away with some spray can primer Ive been over it pretty good and i pulled the carpet and factory underlayment, theres a couple small holes rusting through on left front floor pan at toe board wich i took a pic of, This is a North Carolina car most its life so its pretty solid. The quarters are good no rust, doors, under hood aprons, all rust free front and rear frame rails all with no rust, will be a easy car to fix. All the chrome is complete in decent condition with no dents etc both bumpers are good as well . Interior is in real good shape back seat has some creases where i had stuff laying in it, also console is there and is complete and not busted. Has a set of cragar 14" mag wheels on it. I have a set of new Dougs headers ceramic coated tri-y headers paid $600 for that goes with it, And a new 4 piston caliper disc brake kit that goes too. Also included is a low mileage borg warner world class t-5 and a s-10 tailshaft housing to relocate shifter forward to correct location. I have a 1969 302 block crank, heads, rods $ pistons i will also throw in. engine is apart and would need full rebuild The car is factory midnight blue metallic paint with black interior 289 4v 4 speed 3:50 trac loc options and I have a good clear title
