Vehicle Details 1965 Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty Special, Black on Black, 72,000 miles, Runs, shifts, drives and stops like it should. I'm basically the second owner. Car was purchased new by funeral home in 65 and used as a family car for many years. I purchased car a few years ago from an individual (dealer) who bought car and completed some basic mechanical repairs to ensure the car was safe to drive prior to reselling the car. Since then I have repaired items such as the AC, power seat and and a bad rear tail light socket. This is one of the cleanest 50+ year old cars you will ever find. Small town funeral home owned and driven, washed and put back in the garage until needed again. When I removed the seat to install a new plastic motor/gearbox coupler to make the power seat functional, the only thing under the front seat was one gum wrapper and a few dust balls. Seat bolts all came out like the car was only a few years old. Runs good. Idles smooth. Shifts smooth. Good power. Does not smoke. Cold AC with automatic climate control AC/Heat, AC system completely rebuilt with NOS GM Compressor, New Original Air Corporation Condenser and Evaporator, NOS Drier and charged with R12 Freon. New belts and AC Compressor Clutch. Heat works great also. Brakes completely gone through with new shoes and hardware, drums I believe were replaced or turned, new flex brake hoses front and rear. New 235/75/15 white wall tires with only a few hundred miles. Wheel covers are in great shape, no curb rash. Interior carpet and seats are almost like new, only area to note is small area on drivers side bolster (see picture). 6 way power seat works, Twilight Sentinel works (turns on and off headlights automatically depending on lighting conditions). Auto High Beam Dimming works as well. All interior and exterior lights work inducing cornering lights and turn signal indicators on tops of front fenders.Clock works intermittently. (I think it needs to be cleaned and lubricated)Tilt and telescope steering wheel. Steering wheel in great condition for age.(see picture). No cracks on the dash. Door panels are in great shape. New correct wiper blades. Paint shows very well. Repainted several years ago and does have a few scratches here and there as would be expected. No evidence of car ever being involved in a major accident. The only rust I have found is a small hole behind the left rear wheel on the underside of the body where debris must have collected from the rear tire. This is not visible on the exterior of the car or a hole in the rear quarter body panel. The battery tray also have some corrosion from acid, but not bad enough that it needs to be replaced or repaired. Included with the car is a complete set of new Steele Rubber Products weather stripping and new tube of 3M weatherstrip adhesive. I installed the weatherstripping on the drivers door and haven't had time to install the rest. Sold as is where is. Serious bidders only.
