Vehicle description
Originally red, the 2+2 roadster was repainted in two-tone black and white during the restoration, and an aftermarket head unit and exhaust system are modifications from stock.
The black and white paint has benefited from being stored indoors for most of the last 5 years and presents well overall. The 2,912cc inline six-cylinder C-Series engine came equipped with twin two-inch SU HD8 carbs and a revised camshaft and valve springs.
The chrome brightwork and badging are all accounted for, however the intake cowl has a few dents and a small dent can be seen on the left headlight bezel.
A new black soft top was installed and is in good condition with a clear rear window. A boot cover and tonneau cover are also included. Working lights and indicators have no cracked lenses. All of the body panels appear to be original and there is no evidence of any accident repair.
The servo-assisted front disc and rear drum brakes are in good working order, and the silver painted 15″ wire spoked wheels are also in a good condition. Kumho tires were installed in 2015.
This model was fairly luxurious for the period and was fitted with burled walnut dash panels and a center console. The interior was refurbished during the PO’s restoration and has seen little use since. An aftermarket Sony head unit has been installed. The motor was rated at around 150hp when new. The new flex pipe exhaust system was installed during the restoration. The previous owner who had the restoration performed did not pass any records of the work done to us. After sitting in storage for some time, the car was given a new battery and an oil change in December 2019.
