1964 Volvo 122s Amazon (Project) Offered for your consideration & inspection is this rust free, 1964 Volvo 122s, Amazon, 4 door sedan (12244 VG). This auction is to settle an estate and all the pros & cons are listed below in detail. The engine runs well with an alternative fuel source. The carburetors have been rebuilt. The interior has been totally redone with the exception of the dash pad and the installation of the package shelf/radio speaker. Originally white (79) with red interior (156-249) the body color has been changed to a light blue with the light blue fabric interior. The headliner and sun visors were also restored. The body is rust free top and bottom, with straight panels and good panel fit (see photos). All the glass in the car is in good shape. 5 digit Speedometer reads 25,000 miles. Haven’t been able to drive the car, so, not certain on the condition of the transmission, clutch or differential. After a complete mechanical inspection of this vintage Volvo, the items in need of attention are as follows: * water pump and associated steel coolant inlet tube * radiator cleaned and rodded (maybe replaced) * all radiator, heater hoses and metal heater tubes * cooling system flushed, thermostat replaced * fuel pump * fuel tank cleaned or replaced, fuel lines flushed * brake hydraulics, including master cylinder & wheel cylinders * clutch hydraulics, including master & slave cylinders * battery Included with the sale are various new parts, including: Clutch slave cylinder Brake master cylinder Rear brake wheel cylinders Air filters Carburetor heat shield Metallic brake pads Brake fluid This is a stellar opportunity for someone looking for a rust free project for complete or “in progress” restoration.
