Offered for sale is this well preserved survivor 1964 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 2 Door Hardtop. This car has survived the test of time and stayed in its original form. It is powered by a 394 V8 with a 2 barrel rochester carburetor putting out 280 HP. The transmission is the hydramatic also know as the "slim jim". The car came with power steering, power brakes and tilt steering. The previous owner replaced the power booster, master cylinder, power steering pump, tie end rods, control arm bushings, brake lines, wheel cylinders and shoes. This car drives exceptionally great for a car of that era as I have had many GM cars from the early 60s era. The car starts right up with 3 pumps to the pedal. The original AM radio works, the horn works, the gas guage works, even the reverse lights work. From the condition of this car I can tell it was garaged all its life.
The interior in the car is original and in exceptional shape. The only things which show any age are the arm rests. The steering wheel is like new with no cracks or pitting of the chrome. Actually all the interior chrome is pit free which is amazing for the age of the car. The car even has its original carpet. The door panels and sail panels are so well preserved. The headliner is in great shape. All the inner door handles and window cranks are in beautiful shape with no pitting. The back package tray and the front dash pad is in really good. The glass all around is in beautiful condition. The side windows and rear windows are light factory tint. This is one clean original interior.
The chrome on the exterior is in really good condition. The rear bumper has its issues but outside of that all the chrome is straight and in good condition. The trunk still has most of the original jute trunk liner in the trunk. Under the hood the 394 engine runs great. On the firewall factory markings are still present. The engine has plenty of power to move this cruiser around. The transmission shifts well. All the lights work, the highbeams work, all signals work, the reversed lights work and marker lights work. The body is straight and the paint is in good condition for a 55 year old car with some patina. Overall this survivor car is an excellent driving car which is ready to be driven and enjoyed.
The car comes with its original bill of sale. It also still has the original dealer chrome decal on the trunk lid. I am willing to sell this car world wide. The buyer is responsible for shipping expenses. The car is sold as is and where is. The winning buyer must send a non refundable deposit of $750.00 through paypal. Final payment must be made through wire transfer. If you want to do payment by paypal I will have to charge 5 percent on top as paypal fees are very costly.
