Vehicle description

Hello Mercury Comet and Caliente collectors. Here is a really nice running and driving 64 convertible. The body and under carriage is very good for it"s age. The car was painted back in the late 1990"s,and has held up very nicely. There are a few pimples in the paint on the lower panel in front of the driver side rear wheel and the lower corner of the doors. Surface rust from what I can see. Blow up pictures if you can and look at them. The car has been well maintained and stored in side most all of the last 20 years, and not driven in the winter time for sure, that is as far back as I know about the car. The car has been to a lot of car shows and driven for fun and enjoyment. It has the original V8 260 CID engine still in it. Looking at it I think it has been serviced in different ways along its life time. It has a 2 barrel Holley carburetor that is the only thing that is not stock to the engine. But runs great with it, with good mileage and performance. It has the original Ford Cruise-O-Matic Automatic transmission that works and shifts real smoothly and does not leak. The factory power steering is working really nice and is fun to drive. The factory power drum brakes work well and do not seem to pull one way or the other. All the lights and gauges work as intended. The car came with and option of a remote mirror on the drivers side door. Interior is very nice and clean. The carpet is original and in good useable condition. The convertible top is in good condition, but is showing signs of shrinking which is normal for a convertible top with some age on it. The top retracts and comes back up as intended with electric hydraulic driven convertible top pump factory. This car has good tires with about 10,000 miles on them. This is a car you can buy and drive as it is, and have a lot fun with. There are things you can do to this car to make it your own and add a few little details you might like for your self. But if you want an adventure, buy the car from me and drive it home to any where you might live east or west. It will get you home I"m pretty sure of it. I am selling because I have other car interest that I want to complete and this sale will help me do that, other wise I would not let her go. I would CONSIDER a TRADE IN of a special Ford Falcon, 1963,1964,1965 years. Thanks for looking and ask any questions about the car you like know about.
