1964 Mercury Comet Caliente, 289 V8, 2 door hardtop. This car has been in the family since the mid 90"s, it was my fathers car and when he passed it became mine yet I do not have the time to give to it. It had sat in a field for the past 10 years in Washington State braving the elements so it has quite a bit of spot rust and in the rear quarters(shown in pictures above). Most of this can be dealt with in a good cleaning plus I just spent over $3,000 having the brake system completely redone ,carb tuned, alternator changed, wiring so all lights work and can pass Texas state inspections and front end rebuilt to say the least. These cars restored go from anywhere from $12-$27 thousand dollars and turn heads in any condition so you will not loose money on this car whether you flip or fix it, it only increases in value. I am selling a running, driving, stopping functionally daily driver but does need somethings : paint is to dull to polish, gauges not working( I have seen them work so could be a bad wire), headliner needs replaced, needs a tune up and steering is that of an old car. I get people stopping by all the time to talk to me about it, leave me low ball offers or just remember when they had one or were envious of someone who had one. Happy bidding.
