Rebuilt 1963 Studebaker Avanti R-1, 4 speed. Very original in appearance and most running gear. Any major changes from original were to facilitate everyday reliability, drivability, safety and comfort. This car is purposed for everyday use and enjoyment. Engine is Avanti R-1 that has been completely rebuilt. Cooling system has been modernized with aluminum radiator with electric fan system All other items such as water pump, PS pump and valves, hoses and belts all new or rebuilt. AFB carb is rebuilt. Alternator rebuilt with separate solid state regulator. Ignition system is converted to eletronic system. Four speed T-10 in excellent shape with all new clutch parts. New driveshaft. Air conditioning system is a practically all new upgrade with a Sanden 508 134a compressor. Blows cold. Brakes have a Turner front conversion with Wilwood dual master cyl and prop valve. Booster is 8” Allstar performance. Four almost new radial tires. Spare is just a spare. Body has been frame off rotisserie for replacement of torque boxes. No rust on frame. Front end completely rebuilt with quicker steering. All exterior paint was removed in the past and any fiberglass issues were resolved. The repaint is in original Avanti Gold with urethane single stage. The quality is good but has some small chips and imperfections so not great. Bumpers have been rechromed. All glass is good, windshield is new. Brightwork is repop and some almost new. Stainless trim is all original and in generally good shape. New shocks. Sound deadener/heat blocker has been installed on the floor of the passenger compartment. Most of the interior was recently redone although I believe the seats are somewhat older though they still look very good. All gages work even the clock. Dash is in very good shape. Recent carpet replacement. Radio is a new “Classic” replacement with new speakers. Not stereo. Speedo shows about 85k miles. This Studebaker is not perfect but looks very nice and runs great. Enjoy as is or take it to the next level. My schedule could allow for discounted delivery to some parts of the country. Or buy, pickup and drive away. All communication must be thru E-Bay.
