Vehicle description
FANTASTIC GARAGE FIND! IN DRY STORAGE 15 YEARS. LOW PRODUCTION NUMBERS! THE UNICORN FIND OF ALL FALCON FANS. SPRINT , FACTORY V8, FACTORY 4 SPEED, FACTORY BUCKETS, CONSOLE AND TACH.
THIS CAR IS IN "AS FOUND" CONDITION. THE MOTOR WILL START AND SEEMS TO RUN STRONG. THE CLUCH WORKS AND THE CAR GOES INTO GEAR AND MOVES. THE BRAKE DRUMS ARE NOT STUCK BUT THE BRAKE PEDAL GOES TO THE FLOOR. WILL NEED BRAKE OVERHAUL.
THE GAS TANK WAS REPLACED ABOUT A YEAR AGO. THE ORIGINAL MOTOR WAS A 260, NOW A C8 CODE 1968 289 MOTOR WITH EDELBROCK INTAKE AND FOUR BARREL CARB. TRANS LOOKS TO BE ORIGINAL T10 WITH ORIGINAL SHIFTER.
CAR HAS DUAL EXHAUST. FACTORY TACH WORKS, BUT MOUNT WILL NEED TO BE FIXED. THE INTERIOR WILL NEED RESTORATION. THE REAR OF THE BACK SEAT IS MISSING ALONG WITH THE ARMREST SECTIONS FOR THE BACK; BOTH SIDES.
ORIGINAL BUCKET SEATS AND COVERS ARE THERE BUT WILL NEED REPLACING. ORIGINAL CONSOLE IS THERE AND IN GOOD SHAPE. ARMRESTS AND WIPERS ARE THERE BUT NO INNER DOOR PANELS. THERE IS A SET OF ORIGINAL 13" FUTURA, NOT "SPRINT" WHEEL COVERS IN THE TRUNK. THE WHEELS ON IT NOW ARE 14" WITH A SET OF NEW TIRES THAT HAVE PLENTY OF TREAD BUT ARE AT LEAST 15 YEARS OLD.
THE CONVERTIBLE TOP WAS DOWN FOR 15 YEARS. THE MOTOR WORKS (SLOWLY). THE TOP HAS A LOT OF WRINKLES FROM BEING DOWN AND A FEW BLEMISHES ON THE SIDE AS SHOWN IN PICTURES.
THERE IS SOME BODY DAMAGE ON PASSENGER SIDE REAR QUARTER AS PICTURED. NOT A HARD FIX. THE BODY IS IN GOOD CONDITION. NO OUTWARD RUST SHOWING. THERE IS SOME RUST IN THE TRUNK PAN AS PICTURED BUT DEFINITELY FIXABLE.
THE FLOOR PANS LOOK SOLID. THE DOORS BOTH SHUT WELL. THE SHACKLE MOUNTS ARE GOOD ON THE UNDERSIDE. THE FRAME LOOKS GOOD. THIS HAS BEEN A SOUTHERN CAR FOR A LONG TIME AND HAS BEEN INSIDE MOST OF THE RECENT TIMES.
THIS CAR IS RARE AND IS WORTHY OF RESTORATION. I HAVE OWNED MANY FALCONS AND THIS ONE IS ONE OF THE BETTER ONES BODY WISE AND RARITY WISE.
THE RESERVE PRICE IS REASONABLE. PLEASE DON"T ASK THE RESERVE PRICE. WE USE THE AUCTION AS A PRICE INDICATOR OF REAL VALUE.
THE CAR IS LOCATED IN BEAUTIFUL NORTHEAST TENNESSEE RIGHT NEAR THE VIRGINIA BORDER AND ABOUT 7 MILES OFF INTERSTATE 81.
THE CAR IS FOR SALE LOCALLY TOO. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL ANY BIDS UNDER FIVE POSITIVE FEEDBACKS.
THE TITLE IS CLEAR AND MATCHES THE VIN NUMBER.
HAPPY BIDDING. THIS IS A GOOD ONE. GETTING HARD TO FIND THESE CARS IN THIS CONDITION.
