Vehicle description
1963 Riviera. Original 401 Nailhead engine. Transmission was rebuilt by previous owner, works great. Painted 1982 Cadillac bright red (original color was ugly green). My wife and I had great times in local car shows and parades with it, but had to garage it for the last 15 years. Yes, I know that’s a 1964 hood ornament on it (installed by the previous owner). I have the correct hood piece, but it’s missing the 3-shield emblem. It’s a real head-turner, especially when driving at dusk with just the parking lights on. Original interior in fair to good condition. All panels and rockers are solid and rust-free. Has front seat belts. Now the bad - there are a couple of small surface rust spots showing on the hood. There’s also a “drip stain” on the hood. If you want to seriously show the car, you’ll probably want to repaint the hood. Small surface rust spot on rear deck. The master brake cylinder needs to be rebuilt. The heater core leaks, so I have bypassed it. (We only took it out in nice weather, so this didn’t bother us.). A/C not working, but P/W’s work well. Odometer shows 71629, but I’ll bet it’s rolled over. Made a stupid mistake and had the engine painted red while it was removed to replace the crankshaft. But it wouldn’t take a lot of work to make this all-original classic a real showpiece.
