Vehicle description
You are viewing an exceptional unmolested original 1962 Scout. It has always been a California car since new, sold by International Scout, located in Los Angeles at the Van Nuys dealer, with original window sticker from the dealer included in this sale. and still has it"s first issued Black California plates. After finding it in the barn, rust free with original paint, the following mechanical work has been done to bring this mighty little work horse back to life. All brake components have been rebuilt, including new drums, shoes, all wheel cylinders, brake master, soft and hard brake lines. New clutch master and slave cylinder with line and hose. Both gas tanks were hot tanked and new senders were installed. Original carburetor was rebuilt as was the original combo fuel/vacuum pump, by IH Parts, in Grass Valley. New water pump and original radiator boiled out in Petaluma. New heavy duty battery and all ignition tune up parts were replaced. All five original wheels were sand blasted to bare metal then repainted and new tires installed. Outside body was coated with Tactical Green "Dip Your Car" process, which peals off if original paint is desired.
