Vehicle description
1961 International Scout 80 from the original owner off a ranch in North Eastern Oregon where it acquired the 53000 miles currently on the odometer. I believe the vehicle was originally purchased from McCormick Farm Equipment in Boise, ID as this is where the Line Setting ticket indicates it was shipped to from the factory. This Scout was completely disassembled, sand blasted and remanufactured. Every single moving part has been rebuilt, from the radiator to the tailpipe. Engine, clutch, transmission, rearends, brakes all freshly rebuilt. This Scout is equipped with a Borg Warner T90 3 speed, Spicer 18 TC & Dana 27 rearends. International light line reproduction parts were used where original parts could not be found. The frame, axles, heater box, heater manifold, fan, fan shroud, generator bracket, tail light buckets, wheels and bumpers have all been finished in powder coat. All rust was removed and repaired using patch panels from rust free scouts, specifically the body below the fuel tanks. The hood and driver’s side rearend cap were replaced as the sheet metal was wrinkled. This Scout has the CPT 2” body lift with Bilstein shocks, aluminum replacement fuel tanks, electric wipers, new wiring harness with fuse panel, marine vinyl seat cover and aluminum billet fuel caps, Pertronix ignition, spin-on oil filter & chrome air cleaner. These are the only deviations from a completely stock restoration. Fred Ornas would be proud of his 9,688th Scout in this condition. Passenger door fit is not perfect. There are imperfections in the paint. Unfinished Half cab top, door glass and frames and window gaskets are included.
