Vehicle description
1960 Austin Healey 3000 Mark I Convertible
This Austin Healey was originally purchased in 1959 in Kreuznach, Germany by a member of the US armed services. Documents include the original Windscreen Card, Certificate of Title, and Warranty Certificate from the dealer which matches the Motor Number and VIN plate. It comes with the original 1959 license plates and a time-stamped picture from 1960 of the original owner standing by the car with the original plates. Also included are the promotional booklet from the German dealership, the original Driver’s Handbook, Austin-Healey zippered pouch, original import emblem on the left front fender, and the subsequent title when the vehicle was transferred to the owners brother when he passed away. So this car had one-family ownership since it was new.
The car runs and drives excellently. It has a 4-speed manual with overdrive. It shifts properly and the brakes activate with authority. There are 23,813 original miles on the odometer. Everything on the car is original. Original paint, original interior, original convertible top. The interior has no rips or tears. It includes a complete Austin-Healey tool kit, spare tire, tonneau cover, and side curtains. The removable transistor radio was installed when it was new.
It has absolutely no rust or any body damage. The original paint is in excellent condition with a few minor nicks and scratches. The paint on both windshield pillars shows signs of wear. There is a minor crease in the convertible top from being folded. The radio is not operational.
Please see pictures.
Odometer reads: 23813 Cannot verify the accuracy of the mileage, but believed to be original.
Engine Number: 29D/RU/H4260
Clean Wisconsin Title. VIN on Title: HBT7L3529 Matches Serial Number on ID Tag in engine compartment.
