“disassembled, partially restored (engine has had recent work including two new pistons; upholstery from last restoration still in good shape), car has old paint job already sanded to prepare for new top coat, mostly complete, all major components are there, (I know the taillights are missing) might also be missing hardware or little stuff. Vehicle description
Here is a super cute 1959 Vespa 400 for sale. This microcar is actually the very sought after French ACMA model. It has been disassembled and restoration was started. The seats and interior panels have been re upholstered and in good condition, the engine and transmission look done, engine has new top end and is freely turning (prior buyer did the work and told me it was ready to run, but I never tried to start it). All trim, glass, door knobs, bumpers, roof strengthening struts are there. The only parts I know are missing are the taillights, but there could be some minor stuff also missing. Restoration was not finished and car is sold in as is condition. The body is rust free and has an older paintjob that has already been sanded as preparation for a new top coat of paint.
There is no title, it comes with bill of sale only, but it is no problem to register a car of that age. Disregard the "clean title" in the ad, there was no option to put "no title".
I also have a second Vespa 400 car that is mostly complete (but in worse condition than this one) that is available separately. I also have a few extra parts, sold separately, like wheel rims, suspension parts, a complete transmission, etc).
Note: I will not ship this car. Winning bidder will have to pick it up in New Rochelle, New York, or arrange for own transport.
