Vehicle description

1959 Triumph TR3A This 1959 Triumph TR3A is finished in black and powered by a matching # 1,991cc inline-four mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox. The car was purchased by its previous owner out of Connecticut in 1989 and acquired by the seller earlier this year, with Clean Title. Service records are said to date from the 1980s through a mechanical refreshment performed in 2015. This TR3A is offered with a soft top, a set of side curtains, and transferable Connecticut registration. The TR3A featured exterior door handles, a lockable trunk, and a wider front grille than earlier models. This example was reportedly repainted under previous ownership in the 1980s, and the condition of the finish is shown up close in several photos along with that of exterior hardware and badging. Painted 15” steel wheels wear chrome hubcaps and Nankang tires date-coded from 2012. A black soft top and a pair of side curtains are included in the sale. The interior features seating trimmed in loose two-tone vinyl as well as a period banjo steering wheel. Factory Jaeger gauges include a 120-mph speedometer with a 5-digit odometer showing 9,500 miles. Total mileage is unknown. Photos in the gallery show the cabin with the carpets and seats removed. The 1,991cc inline-four sends power to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual gearbox. Receipts are said to date from the 1980s through a mechanical refreshment performed in 2015 by Automotive Restorations of Stratford, Connecticut over $18,000 in restoration expenses, that does not include the purchase price. 1959 Triumph TR3A Technical Specifications and Dimensions These are standard specifications - not necessarily specifications for the vehicle(s) in the photo(s).
