1959 Land Rover Series II Running and Driving project.
- Left Hand Drive
- 225 V6 with T14 Transmission
- Current California registration with pink slip in hand.
I have owned the car since February 2017 and had big plans for this dream truck but unfortunately I need the money and must let it go. I think the truck is priced extremely fair as such and is a project. List of needs below.
Motor: The motor was swapped at some point to a 225 V6 and T14 transmission. It was done correctly and the motor runs great. It needs a choke cable added to the carb or to swap the carb to a automatic choke. basically if the truck is cold you need top spray starting fluid in the carb to start it but starts every time and runs great once warmed up.
Trans: The previous owner said the trans would pop out of second so when shifting through the gears he would hold it in second before shifting to 3rd. I have not experienced this. When driving around in my neighborhood which is all the driving I have done in it.
Body: As you can see needs paint body work etc. Has some rust as all old land rovers do in front floors and bulkhead but nothing too extreme or unfixable. I have a 1974 bronco that its actually rusty. This truck is NOT a rust bucket but has some rust.
Brakes/Tires: Needs Tires. It has these old cool military style tires on it that look great but they are old. Needs front brake pads and wheel cylinders.
