In 1959 only 9,670 Corvettes were produced, and all were convertibles. This beautiful C1 Corvette is painted in the highly desirable Roman Red with Snowcrest White coves. Only 1,542 were made in Roman Red, and this one is paired with a nice black interior. Car comes with the original folding convertible top iron assembly and original top material but is not currently installed on the car.
The original 283 has been upgraded to a new 377 small block stroker It has just a few test miles on this brand new Stroker V8 with a warranty. That engine is a 4-bolt main block and is built with an Eagle 4340 3.625 crank, Eagle H-beam rods, Ross forged pistons, Comp Cams .268 cam, Melling high volume oil pump, Cloyes double roller timing chain, Dart 200 aluminum cylinder heads, Comp Cams roller rockers, and one-piece pushrods. It is topped off with an Edelbrock intake, Holley Street Avenger carburetor, full-length headers, and an HEI distributor. A new aluminum radiator keeps it all cool, even on hot Florida days. That engine runs power through a Muncie 4-speed manual and out back to a posi rear end.
The brakes were also just rebuilt at the same time the engine was installed. New American Racing Torq-Thrust II polished wheels have been installed with radial tires for a nice ride and a modern touch.
