Vehicle description
About this vehicle This 1959 Chevrolet Corvette is an original. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle runs great. Seller"s Notes Nice original motor car, very nice complete driver quality car. Vehicle Details 1959 Corvette Very nice original factory 2x4 245 HP 3 speed car with original rebuilt engine, currently running a 1969 Muncie M21 4 speed. Motor was rebuilt in 2019 have receipts. The car is currently an older lacquer Roman Red which shows nice, there are a few small imperfections and touch ups, There is some light checking in the white paint of the coves. There are a few very fine stress cracks in the paint near the headlights where this usually occurs with these cars. This car is way better than you would describe as a 10 footer. All the paint issues mentioned above you must be super close to the paint to notice. At some point in its 62 years it has had a repair to the passenger side front fender, a small repair near driver side tail light, and a small repair to lower front valance area probably do to parking block. All in all the paint shines and shows very well. The seat covers and carpet are all new correct replacement. Door panels and kick panels are in very good condition. The dash pad has pulled out from under the windshield weather stripping just a tiny bit on the passenger side. Dash pad looks great other than that. All lights and Gauges work as they should. The clock is the only item not working. Has a very nice aftermarket stereo that sounds great. Soft top stowage compartment is very nice; the white soft top looks good with the exception of a small wear mark where the hinges fold, plastic is nice and clear. Car runs and drives great, the chrome is original and does show some wear as you would expect being 62 years old. Like new wide whites on the car, and spare also. Hub caps are nice. Trunk is nicely detailed as is the engine compartment. As mentioned earlier this is a factory original 2x4 car with a 3 speed transmission; however it is currently running a 69 date coded very tight M21 Muncie 4 Speed . Nice factory type exhausts system. The car has a lot of originality as far as the drive train is concerned, here are the numbers VIN # J59S104576 Block – 3756519 Engine Stamping – F 1 26 CT (Jan 26) Cars approximate build date is February 19 1959 Intake- 3739653 Carter carbs – Front 2626S 3744002 Rear- 2627 3744004 no tags on carbs.
