Vehicle description
This Golden Hawk has a 289 Studebaker V8 with the factory supercharger. Engine is strong with 60lbs of oil pressure cold and 25lbs warm. No smoke, no blow by, no knocks. Has the rare 3-speed manual transmission with a hill holder. Has glass packs that sound awesome but needs tailpipes installed from the rear end to the back bumper. All gauges work except tachometer. Radio hums only
Car was painted several years ago and most of the trim was never put back on. I have all the trim, including emblems and script and all the rechromed belt mouldings just below the windshield and the side glass, as well as the wheel well stainless mouldings. I also have all new clips needed to install trim.
Interior was redone probably in the 1970s and is decent but it has some stains in a few places. There was some rust repair at the floors and trunk pan but looks like a very good job. The frame is very solid, fender and rockers are rust free! Master cylinder leaks a bit but new master cylinder is included.
I tried to present an honest and accurate description but I may have missed something so please feel free to ask questions before bidding. Reasonable reserve. Nick 415 652-3926
