1957 Porsche 356 Speedster Roadster Professionally built on a 1968 VW Chassis by Classic Motor Carriages in the early 1970’s in their manufacturing plant in Florida.(see below *) . This 1957 Porsche 356 Roadster has a 1915cc engine with dual Weber carburetor’s coupled with a 4 speed transmission. It has front disc brakes and VDO gauges that work perfectly. All gauges, turn signals, lights, running lights and equipment work perfect as they should. This Chassis has a solid underbody as built similar to the Porsche 912. The body is not painted. The cream color is the original gel coat of the original casting. It has original Porsche seats in vinyl. It comes with a Nardi (knockoff) steering wheel and period correct design AM/FM Bluetooth radio. It has a sailcloth tan top and side curtains with new Eisen glass windows and a tonneau cover. I have replaced the broke windshield with a new one from Vintage Speedster parts. The wheels are new 15 inch 4 lug chrome wheels as common for the original 1957 Porsche 356. I have new hub caps ordered with new Porsche emblems. The tires are almost new. ( I have all four originals caps but I ordered new) This 356 Speedster has never been in an accident. The body is perfectly straight as original and the fitment is excellent. The Porsche 356 runs excellent and drives great. This is one of the a MOST sought after classic collectables with prices ranging from $30K - $80K for a replica and a real 356A roadster is $250K - $500K *In the 1970s Automobili Intermeccanica in Santa Ana, California were the largest manufacturer of Speedster Kits but in 1979, Tony Baumgartner bought out Frank Reisner"s 50% share of Intermeccanica and sold the Speedster project to Classic Motor Carriages. So CMC became the largest Speedster replica manufacturer in existence at that time….when this car was manufactured.
