Seller"s Notes Depending on where you are located I may can deliver and give you a special rate for transport vs hiring a company to do it Vehicle Details 1957 Pontiac Star Chf Safari Transcontinental · Wagon · Driven 26,000 miles Barn Find! Super rare 57 Star Chief Safari Transcontinental wagon. This is #1191 of 1894 ever made. Often called the “Bonneville wagon” because it was released mid year with the Bonneville and both sported the special rear quarter stainless fluted panels. Numbers matching low rust California car. 347 is free but doesn’t run at the moment. Was said to run like a top when parked 10-15 years ago. Nothing missing aside from glass which was busted out by bratty kids. New glass kits for these are readily available because it’s the same as the Chevy 4 door wagons. Interior is all there but old and brittle on the seats as usual - full resto inside needed. Would make a low dollar patina surfer ride as is. Factory paint all around and excellent above average roof. No low ballers. 26,000 miles showing. No bondo and no body work ever. Laser straight almost. Pickup in Joppa Alabama or I can arrange delivery to certain places maybe. Where is the Rust? These cars all had an under seat heater which leaked and the drivers floor pan is always rotted out. Despite this being a more solid than most California car, it needs a driver front floor pan. Rest of floor front to back noted as solid - no prior patches either. Tailgate has multiple decent sized holes in the bottom, but the cars tailpan underside and topside are perfect - so rust is limited to the gate and not the back of the car. Hood lip is rusted but like anything can be welded up if you don’t want to chase down another hood. Other than these three areas, I was pleasantly surprised to see perfect quarter panels, perfect door posts, perfect pans aside from the driver front, perfect door bottoms all the way around, and the finest roof in America. So way over 90% of the cars body is super solid and nicer than usual. Can do a video or whatever and yes, I have many detailed pics to share as well. Nothing hiding here - all very real and very original with no prior work EVER anywhere on it.
