Vehicle description

This auction is for my 1957 Oldsmobile Super 88 Fiesta W1 Tri Power wagon project. It’s a documented two owner car with 49K original miles. Needs full restoration. One of only 8,981 Super Fiesta’s built in 1957. Very few Fiesta’s were equipped with the W1-J2 motor, and not many restorable examples survived.
Factory ordered options: • Golden Rocket 371 J2-W1 Tri-Power (310HP, 10/1 compression, Mallory dual point distributor, 394 CAM, solid lifters, adjustable rockers) • Power steering • Power brakes • Jetaway-Hydramatic • Dual Exhaust • Tinted glass • Deluxe AM radio • Factory Air Conditioning (complete and still sealed)
Original all Black car (paint code 10-10). Number matching, and never modified. It"s still on the same title since 1960. Despite its weathered appearance, the car is very solid. No accident damage, all body panels are original. . you can see everything under the patina. All chrome, and stainless are still in good condition with all pieces present, and accounted for. The following areas will need rust repair; driver side outer rocker panel, both front floor pans (which were already cut out), a patch in spare tire compartment, the bottom of the driver fender (below the antenna), the driver side rear dog leg (base of wheelhouse), and a small patch on both rear doors. There is no other rust through on the car. The bottoms of the doors, rear floors, quarter panels, and tailgate are all clean. The rust was the result of fresh water/rain, not from salt corrosion. T he windshield has a crack. The passenger rear door glass is broken, but I have an original replacement that will go with the car. The interior is complete, but needs updating. The car has new tires, and rolls/steers easily.
The previous owner disassembled the top end of the motor (50+ years ago), and stored the parts in his garage. All parts seen in the pics go with the car: original Tri-Power intake, #16 solid lifter heads, aluminum valve cover spacers, pistons, exhaust manifolds, double pulley a/c generator, and the chrome dual snorkel air cleaner.
