Vehicle description

The first picture shows the car when my Dad restored it in the 90"s. This car has been in my family since it was new. It is with great hesitation that I am selling it. I just don"t have the need for it. This car ran when it was parked about 10-12 years ago. It has been garage kept. I have not tried to start it. The paint is shot (as you can see in pictures), but it only has surface rust. The chrome has some minor blemishes, but for 1955, it is in good shape. Most importantly, it is not dented up and i have extra pieces. The body is straight. All the glass is good. The INTERIOR IS PERFECT. Only 1 problem. I never found the keys to the car when my Dad passed, so I have not been able to get in the car. I can get a locksmith to open up (or a coat hanger, no hi tech security here) and put a new ignition cylinder in. I have tons of extra parts that will all come with the car. My Dad bought anything that was Packard 400 whenever, wherever he came across it, whether he needed it or not. I figure a paint job and some minor engine work to get it going again after sitting so long and it will be a nice car again. This car has the tortion leveling system which is really cool. (If your a Packard guy/gal, you know what I"m talking about.) I grew up around this car and as sappy as it sounds, I really only want to sell to a Packard enthusiast that will cherish this car the way my Dad did. I do not know the actual mileage. I"m pretty sure dad rebuilt the engine at some point, but don"t remember when that was, or what mileage it was at.
