Vehicle description
* * ESTATE SALE * * Senior citizen owner and long time MG lover has decided to sell his pride and joy. . . . A 1955 MG TF 1500 and this Car went through a extensive restoration process that was completed in August of 2017. Since the restoration . . . the Car has been driven a total of about 250 miles by the 94 year old owner who is a still working professional musician and long time MG owner who raced MGs in the 1960 and 1970s in California. There were ONLY 3,400 of these Cars built in 1955 . . . . . and it is hard to say how many have survived the years.
This Car is # XPEG2445 with engine # 8772. . . . . . . It was purchased from a dealer in upstate New York in mid 2016 and it was shipped directly from New York State to Sparks, Nevada to undergo the restoration.
The restoration was carried out by the world famous shop. . . . ADAMS CUSTOM ENGINES Inc. . . . in Sparks, Nevada. Everett Adams who established and runs this restoration and motor shop has done a number of memorable works over the years including building the Antique car that was inside the ship in the film Titanic. He built that Car from scratch for the film and he was also a personal mechanic for Bill Harrah and Adams tended to Mr. Harrah"s extensive car collection in the 1970"s before opening his own shop. . . . A very accomplished builder and shop to be sure.
This Car comes with a photo album depicting the steps and the restoration as well as a Appraisal from Mr. Adams at the completion of the restoration which valued the Car at $46,750.00 in it"s current condition. . . . Be that as it may . . . the owner wants to get it SOLD . . . and he wants it to go to a new home that will love and cherish the Car as much as he does. To that end we are pricing this beautiful TF 1500 at $39,500.00 or Best Offer . . . . and that will be very hard to beat when you consider the condition the Car is in today.
