Vehicle description
About this vehicle This 1955 Ford Customline is an original. The owner has had it for 2 years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives. Seller"s Notes Great condition Vehicle Details Beautiful 1955 Ford custom line with only 25k miles on the clock, wonderfully preserved over the years and in great shape for its age. The car sat in storage since 1983 and was brought back to life over the last 2 years. The Ford 272 y block runs great and starts with the touch of a key, it has been upgraded with a brand new champion custom built aluminum radiator and stays very cool. The car is still all 6v with a brand new battery and professionally restored generator. The oil and gen light work just as they should. The paint may be original or a very old repaint I can’t tell but it looks great for its age. The interior is all original with the exception of a new carpet. All of the window assemblies have been taken apart and lubed to allow them to roll with ease, but the drivers side window suffered a crack in the process, it still rolls up/ down and none of the glass is missing but there are hairline cracks in it. All the other glass is original and perfect. It has the rare options of power steering and fordomatic 3 speed transmission. The brakes are 100% brand new with new master and all wheel cylinders, most of the lines have been replaced but some of the originals look perfect so I left them as is. The car stops on a dime and the brakes feel great. The fuel and temp gauge used to work but stopped recently, I have a new old stock fuel gauge that comes with the car. The headlights, tailights, and all interior lights work. The radio and clock light up and the radio turns on but doesn’t play anything. The signals and wipers do not work, but I took the time to buy the correct replacement fuel pump that has the vacuum line to connect to the wipers. The original canister style oil filter has been replaced to allow a simple motorcraft FL1-A to screw right on. It has vintage Firestone white walls that look great on the car and drive well but I would suggest eventual replacement for dependability. The car has no rust with the exception of the bottom of the doors/ fenders and the drivers side rocker, the floors look good and the trunk is mind blowing mint. Comes with original jack and T. Amazing 25k original miles not rolled over. True survivor car. Any questions feel free to message! Exterior Interior Engine Download the Motors app
