Vehicle description
1953 Ford Customline Restomod. This Ford has a 5.0 and AOD transmission from a 1979 Mustang II donor. Power brakes (Disk/Drum), electric fuel pump, Edelbrock intake, 4V carb, dual exhaust and many other performance parts. Beautiful interior with custom black leather/orange vinyl upholsterey. The paint is a Satin Black with Orange accents. Beautiful detailed engine and bay. lowered with brand new Torque Thrust wheels wrapped in Coker wide whites. Aftermarket heater. (This car was originally sold without heat.) Alpine head unit with Polk Audio speakers. Believed to be original spare tire in the trunk. It even holds air, but I think I would get a new one. It is nearly 70 years old. The odometer is out of the car. Has approximately 10,000 on engine rebuild and restoration.
Below is a list of cons:
The speedometer and odometer are out of the car. I was going to replace it with a GPS aftermarket gauge cluster but just never did. I used a Garmin for the speedometer. There is a second set of gauges for the water temp, volts and oil pressure and a column mount tachometer.
The gas gauge bounces when it gets low. I would say a new sending unit would take care of this. ($30).
The top of the seats have little perforations where it looks like something was slid across them. I can send close ups on request because I don"t think they would show up very well on these pictures.
This is a "NO RESERVE" auction.
