 (877) 399-3176 (877) 399-3176 1955 Ford Crown Victoria Exterior Color: Red and White Interior Color: Red Body Type: 2-Door Sedan Transmission: Automatic Drivetrain: RWD Engine: 292ci Mileage: 99,999 All vehicle trades considered including classics and performance. We can assist with financing and shipping as needed. Here is a real treat. This beautiful automobile is a genuine Ford Fairlane - Crown Victoria edition from 1955. This was the first year for both the Fairlane model and the top-of-the-line Crown Victoria trim package which only lasted like this for two years. You don’t see many of these, especially in good running and driving condition. This example has seen a repaint in its original color scheme of red with a white mid-section. The body underwent some minor rust repair while the frame, floors, and rocker areas are solid throughout. It was also fitted with a Continental kit which really looks great on this design. And of course the stainless trim is what really makes the Crown Victoria special; it is all in exceptional condition here. Same with the chrome and trim pieces. This car’soriginal U-code 272 ci 2-barrel engine has been replaced with a more capable 292 ci 4-barrel setup from 1957. Note this is the same Y-block platform but with better all-around performance. It is topped by a Holley 4160 carburetor that uses the original choke knob on the dash. It also wears Thunderbird style valve covers. The car has many new parts including the master cylinder, front springs, control arm bushings, and more. Note this 1955 has also been converted to a 12V negative ground electrical system. The attractive interior has also been redone in matching red and white materials. It looks fantastic and is a real tribute to the 1950’s era. I especially like how the headliner has the same matching “crown” as the exterior. The car has a working speedometer, fuel gauge, horn, heater, and parking brake. All headlights, warning lights, and turn signals work as well. So do all the courtesy lights including those in the door jambs (which really look neat at night). The wipers have been converted to electric for more reliable operation, and there is a modern stereo system under the dash. This really is a unique car representing the first year of Crown Victoria production. Not only does it look fantastic and represent a rare car, but you could drive it anywhere today.
