Rust Free Texas Car, previously Residing in California for 35 years California Black Plate Car before moving to a Private Mercedes Museum outside of Houston Texas All wheels are stamped 53 and matching originals. Headliner is excellent with no stains or yellowing or rips/tears. Sunvisors are original and excellent Steering wheel is Original and without cracks showing very nicely
All gauges and lighting both interior and exterior functional, excep t interior rear dome light needs insert and bulb (shown in photo) All exterior chrome was removed and re-chromed, shows like a mirror. Always stored and kept indoors. History and ownership known since 1971
This vehicle went through a very expensive bare metal, window out respray. There is some slight overspray on the jackpoints. The underside of this car is as clean as the top, original undercoating an finish is still intact, never abused and never subject to poor weather or winters.
BRAND NEW WINDSHIELD AND CHROME SURROUND TRIM
Car currently has a Ford Motor Powerplant giving it ample power and ease of maintenance Shifts easily and smoothly. No muscle car growl or obnoxious sound.
Original motor goes with the car, for a rebuild to replace and bring back to stock.
Used among the Hamptons for the past 4 years in the Spring and Summer as a useable classic between East and Southampton and Montauk. Coming from a large private collection. This car is as comfortable on the highway as it is in stop and go traffic.
