MG TD - 1950-1953 Series. VINTAGE ORIGINAL 1951 BRITISH MG TD BLUE ROADSTER CONVERTIBLE SPORTS CAR. This is a fun old car that gets lots of attention everywhere it goes Everyone loves the looks of them, they imagine Merry Old England and lovely country roads. And you will too when you get behind the wheel of this classic. Get this as a Christmas Present and Winter project in these Pandemic times. It has its original 4 cylinder engine and 4 speed transmission. I have owned it 6 1/2 years and the previous owner owned it for 40 years. He was a Englishman British car mechanic. He maintained it well and even put it on a lift to show me that all the wood and frame was in good condition. It was painted by him all those years ago in the light blue color and now could use another painting. It is a good solid car, not rusty. Since I have owned it and driven it I had another British car mechanic go over it replacing brakes, wheel cylinders, some fuel line and cleaning the gas tank. He also went over the ignition and carbs. It ran great and the clutch and transmission shifting was fine when last used. It has a black convertible top inside that is age worn but usable like the tonneau cover. However, the car got buried behind stuff in my garage and has not been driven since the summer of 2018. Then the Maryland tags and insurance expired. Right now the battery is stone dead and it has old stale gas in it that would need to be pumped out. I have not tried to get it running again at this time, I just dug it out of the garage yesterday. You know how things go sometimes when you are getting old and life gets in the way of having fun. I am ready to let it go to someone else to enjoy it and bring it back to life. See pics for details. Ask questions. It is located at my house in Glen Arm, Md. 21057 in a garage. Buyer has to arrange pick up and the car is offered As Is Where Is with a clean Maryland Title in my name. Car can be stored in my garage until you can arrange for pick-up or shipping.
