Vehicle description
GREAT DEAL. . .LOWER PRICE $$$ To SELL. HAS BEEN INSIDE. the only thing we know it might need is a wheel cylinder. I have had this Truck for a long time and it has just been sitting, I hate to see it sit there so I have decided to let it go. A little history behind this C.O.E. The owner of Jim Carter Truck Parts for 40 years, Jim Carter"s Original "C.O.E." WRECKER 5100 TOW TRUCK was listed in AUGUST 1996 PICK-UPS AND PANELS MAGAZINE. He has always kept this rare Truck inside , rarely ever took it out even to shows.
Jim Carter purchased this C.O.E. in 1992. In very good shape. SHE IS KNOWN AS THE BLUE HOOKER AND CAN MATCH THE POWER OF ANY 2-TON WRECKER. Life began as a 5100 MODEL and, was built at th Kansas city Plant by General Motors. Was delivered and sold at the dealer in Lyndon, Kansas. There the wrecker body was built by W.T. STRING FELLOW AND CO. in NASHVILLE TENNESSEE. This dealer there built it for themselves ans was used very limited and kept very nice! Now that so many people are building Cab Over Engines, for so many custom uses, and hate just seeing it sit there, This is your chance to own a original True American Part of History!
I will GIVE YOU a pair of fender Pads and a pair of step plate pads we make NEW.
JIM HAS BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR 40-YEARS SELLING PARTS FOR THE 1934-TO-1972 CHEVY AND GMC TRUCKS.
